This two hour class covers the basics of photography and is suited for anyone with a DSLR or mirrorless camera!

Class is taught by Brian Keith of Memory Mill Photography at YM camera. Classes are held upstairs

Photo 101 calss explains exposure basics, camera functions, and photography terminology.

  • How to use ISO, shutter speed, and aperture
  • The "Exposure Triangle"
  • Different Camera modes
  • The camera's light meter / how to meter
  • Lenses, focal length, and white balance

Photo 102 Class teaches an in depth explanation of most settings on a camera.

  • What every focus settings does and changes, including focus peaking
  • Focal Length and how they change the look of a photo
  • Drive / Shooting modes
  • Shooting RAW vs. JPG and it's impact on post processing (editing)
  • Short explanation of basic editing settings. Comparing RAW edits to JPG edits

Intermediate Class will be held on:

Sunday, May 31st at 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

After class, there will be some time available for Q & A with Brian on any questions you have left and more hands-on help if you feel you need it.
